Hampi is about 340 km from Bangalore, 6–7 hours by road on a good four-lane highway. It is one of the most popular weekend trips from the city — leave on Friday night or very early Saturday and you get two full days in Hampi.
How to reach Hampi from Bangalore
| Mode | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cab / car | 6–7 hours | NH 48 to Chitradurga, then NH 50 to Hosapete |
| Train (Hampi Express) | Overnight | Leaves Bengaluru at night, reaches Hosapete in the morning |
| Bus | 7–8 hours | Overnight KSRTC and private sleepers to Hosapete |
By car, take NH 48 (Tumakuru road) to Chitradurga, then NH 50 to Hosapete and Hampi. Breakfast stops at Chitradurga make a good break. Our Bangalore to Hampi cab costs from ₹3,640 one way for the whole car, with pickup anywhere in Bangalore or at the airport.
By train, the overnight Hampi Express is the classic option — book early for weekends. A Hospet to Hampi cab meets the morning arrival for the last 13 km.
