Privacy Policy

What we collect when you book with us, why we need it, and how we keep it safe.

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Hampi Cabs & Tourism ("we", "us", "our") handles personal data collected through this website and when you book a cab or tour with us by phone or WhatsApp. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 of India. By using this website or our services you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Booking and enquiry details you type into our forms: name, mobile number, email address (optional), pickup and drop locations, travel dates and times, number of travellers, and any notes you add.
  • Payment information: when you pay an advance over UPI, the payment is made in your own UPI app. We only see the amount, the UPI reference and the payer name that your bank shares with us. We never collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords.
  • Technical data: like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use this only to keep the site secure (for example, to block spam and abuse) and to fix errors.

We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

2. How we use your information

  • To confirm, schedule and carry out your cab booking or tour.
  • To share your name, mobile number and pickup details with the driver or guide assigned to your trip, and with hotels or partners booked as part of a tour package.
  • To call, SMS or WhatsApp you about your booking, fare, payment or any changes.
  • To process refunds under our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations and to resolve disputes.
  • To prevent fraud, spam and misuse of this website.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal data only as needed to deliver the service you asked for:

  • Drivers, guides, hotels and travel partners involved in your trip.
  • Service providers that run this website on our behalf — secure cloud hosting and database providers — bound to protect your data and use it only for us.
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities where required by law.

4. How we protect your data

  • The entire website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • Booking data is stored in a secured database; only authorised staff can sign in to view it, and access rules are enforced on the server.
  • Forms are protected against automated spam and cross-site request forgery.
  • Prices and booking details are always checked on our server, never trusted from the browser.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.

5. How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet tax and accounting requirements (generally up to 8 years under Indian law). Enquiries that do not turn into bookings are deleted within 24 months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where the law allows.

6. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
  • Ask us to correct or update inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to erase your data, unless we must keep it by law.
  • Withdraw consent for future use of your data.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address or mobile number used for the booking. We respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies and local storage

The public website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The admin area uses browser storage only to keep authorised staff signed in. Images and pages may be cached by your browser to load faster.

8. Children

Our services are booked by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 except as travellers named by a parent or guardian making the booking.

9. Links to other websites

Our pages may link to WhatsApp, Google Maps or other sites. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

10. Grievance officer

For any privacy concern or complaint, contact our Grievance Officer at [email protected] or +91 9535273580. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
