Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal are the cradle of Chalukyan temple architecture, built between the 6th and 8th centuries — two centuries before Hampi's empire. Pattadakal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which makes this trio the natural add-on to a Hampi trip.

Yes, with a 6 am start from Hampi — about 300 km and 6 hours of driving in total, with roughly 2 hours at Badami and 1–1.5 hours each at Pattadakal and Aihole. It is a long day, so for families we suggest one night in Badami: the Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal package (1 night / 2 days) from ₹5,999 per person.
